Mike has been Senior Pastor at Life Bridge since 2007. Before that he served as Associate Pastor for about 10 years. Mike has been a member of Life Bridge since 1976 and has served in almost every ministry of the church. Prior to accepting the call to full-time ministry, Mike had several different careers, including diesel mechanic, HVAC technician, maintenance supervisor for a semiconductor manufacturer and finally service manager and hydraulic engineer for a local machinery manufacturer. He mentored under the previous pastor for 10 years and has studied at Trinity College of the Bible and Southwestern Theological Seminary. He has been married to his wife Kate since 1976 and has three adult children. Mike and Kate both grew up in Oconto and started dating in high school.
Jake came on staff at Life Bridge in June 2009. Before that he attended Marquette University, where he graduated with a degree in Third World Studies. Jake was born and raised in Green Bay, and attended Ashwaubenon High School. He is married to his wife Shawna and has five beautiful children. Jake is excited about equipping believers to stand on the truth of Christ!
Shawna grew up in Green Bay and has attended Life Bridge since she was in first grade! She married her husband, Jake in 2008 and they have five kids. Shawna has always enjoyed serving in Children's Ministry. She began volunteering as a young teen and this ignited a passion for kids to know they are loved. Arrow Kids is named after Psalm 127:3-5. This verse likens children to arrows in the hand of a warrior and calls them a blessing and reward from the Lord. Shawna has a deep desire for kids to know Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him.
Kate was raised most of her life in Oconto, just 30 miles north of Green Bay. She grew up in a Christian home with three brothers and one sister, accepting the Lord as a pre-teen while attending Hickory Church of Christ in Hickory Corners, Wisconsin. She met her husband, Pastor Mike Tappa, while attending Oconto High School. After graduating from high school she attended NWTC for one year for Accounting. Mike and Kate were married in September of 1976, and God has blessed them with three kids: Tracy, Mallory and Kyle, and two grandkids, Brooklyn and Jensen. Kate has worked part-time in the office at Life Bridge since 1995, and she counts it a privilege and a blessing to serve the Lord and the family at Life Bridge in this way.
Andy came on staff in September 2015. Previously, he served three years as full-time worship pastor in Huntington, IN, and four years in the same role in Reston, VA. Andy was born and raised in Columbia City, IN, and graduated from Huntington University with a degree in Accounting. He and his wife Krissy have two girls, Elina and Eva. Andy believes worship is the arrowhead of a healthy church, and he's passionate about creating experiences where people can encounter the life-giving freedom of Christ.
Rob became an elder in 1998, and he and his wife Michelle have been members at Life Bridge for 25 years. Rob leads our men's ministry, Michelle leads our women's ministry and both have a passion for family ministries, including marriage and parenting. They counsel couples whose marriages are in crisis and provide pre-marital counseling. Rob and Michelle were married in 1979, and they have three children and five grandchildren, all who live in Green Bay and are active members at Life Bridge. Rob works for Roehl Logistics in transportation. He retired from the Air Force Reserves with 28 years of service.
Jack and his wife Jo originally joined Life Bridge in 1989, but moved to Kenosha in 1998. They moved back to Green Bay and rejoined Life Bridge in 2005. Jack served as an elder 1994-98, and again from 2010-present. He also serves as a Life Group leader and His Kids Children's Ministry teacher, and he sees his role at home, church and work as supporting and encouraging others. Jack and Jo have been married 46 years and have two children and seven grandchildren. Jack works as a trainer for a pipeline construction company.
Bob was ordained as an elder on January 3, 2016. He has attended Life Bridge since 1983 when visiting Green Bay, and has been a member since 1993. He serves on the Benevolence Committee, as a Life Group leader and in Toddler Nursery. Bob and his wife Cindi have been married almost 34 years, and they have two adult children. Bob has a passion for marriages, overall growth of Christians and college students; he has served on the His House Campus Ministries for six years. Bob has worked at IBM since 1979.
Ken was ordained as an elder in March 2016. He and his family have attended Life Bridge since 2004. He serves as a Life Group leader and in Kings Kids ministry. His wife Julie serves in the Jail ministry and is the current church treasurer. Ken and Julie have been married since 1987 and they have two teenage boys. Ken is a devoted husband and father and has a passion for serving people in need. Ken has worked in engineering since 1978 and is currently at Two Rivers Water and Light.
